Since our inception on Thursday, November 1, 2003, The 909th House of Alpha has continuously held high the Light of Alpha through thoughtful and impactful service, educational projects, popular social programs, and consistent involvement with student organizational leadership positions. As a result, Tau Omicron has changed the dynamic of Student Life at Davidson College. Since our founding date on November 1st, 2003, our chapter has won Fraternity of the Year (twice), New Member Programming Award, Community Service Organization (twice), and Service Project of the Year (twice). Tau Omicron also won the North Carolina Chapter of the Year award for 2011-2012. Since the charter line, G.E.N.E.S.I.S. 8 – Fall 2003, individual brothers’ accolades include numerous Belk, Truman, Terry, Presidential, and Bonner Scholars, as well as other Davidson Awardees for such honors as the Davidson Black Alumni Network Award. In 2008 and 2011, our chapter won first place in the Apocalypse Greek Step show, which earned us healthy monetary stipends to help fund our service and educational programs.
